Documentation · Chapter 15

Operate a project from creation to diagnosis.

This workshop creates each project type, inspects it, simulates a missing runtime, and confirms recovery.

Every lesson starts from the problem, explains the mechanism, then gives a concrete verification.

LESSON OBJECTIVE

What you will be able to do

Complete a creation-to-recovery exercise and preserve evidence that another developer can reproduce.

Create the matrix

Create classic, View, API, and Console projects in temporary folders, then list their visible differences.

phpaml — zsh
aml create-console cli-lab
cd cli-lab
aml doctor
aml test
aml run

Break only reconstructible state

Move runtime aside in one disposable project, run doctor, reinstall, and prove the source checksum did not change.

Record the evidence

Save command, status, exit code, and observed file. A reliable procedure records proof instead of saying only ‘it worked’.

CHECKPOINT

Before you continue

Could a teammate repeat the procedure using only the recorded commands, versions, results, and checksums?

SUMMARY

What to remember

  • AML operates projects while PHPAML executes applications.
  • Creation and generators have separate responsibilities.
  • runtime can be rebuilt; source code cannot be assumed replaceable.
  • Diagnostics should produce evidence and actionable repairs.
