Documentation · Chapter 17

Give every public page a clear identity.

Titles, descriptions, canonicals, headings, links, language, and structured data describe a page. They cannot rescue thin or duplicated content.

Every lesson starts from the problem, explains the mechanism, then gives a concrete verification.

LESSON OBJECTIVE

What you will be able to do

Write truthful metadata, language signals, and structured data that support genuinely useful content.

Write a unique title and description

The title distinguishes the page; the description earns a click. Keep both truthful and specific rather than stuffing variants.

aml seo:set base_url "https://example.com"
aml seo:set title "A precise page title"
aml seo:set description "A useful and honest description of this page."

Canonical and language signals

canonical identifies the preferred duplicate. html lang describes the current language; hreflang alternates connect equivalent localized URLs.

Structured data must match the page

JSON-LD should describe visible reality. Do not claim ratings, authors, events, or products that the page does not show.

CHECKPOINT

Before you continue

Would title, description, canonical, hreflang, and JSON-LD still be accurate if read aloud to a visitor?
